Jester is a red-orange dice with maroon dots. They have a tooth gap between their front teeth. They wear yellow gloves, red-orange jester’s shoes with yellow bells on the tips, and a jester’s hat. Their hat has one orange section and two maroon sections, as well as yellow bells on the tips.
They are the last character you unlock. They are only unlocked once Jester is fought and defeated as an enemy (and eventual boss) on every floor of the dungeons. Their playstyle largely focuses on being flexible and having a tailored variety of cards to pull from. Jester pulls from a deck of cards instead of a backpack, with three cards useable at one time, and used cards being instantly replaced with whatever’s next in the deck. In most episodes, there is a preview of the next 3 cards to the far right of the screen, above the Discard/Snap button. You can use your whole deck in one turn, after which you must end your turn to replenish them. “Finale” cards can only be used once every other card has been used in ONE turn. Cards are reshuffled between turns. Having cards that match and cards that create more dice helps greatly to keep Jester’s damage rolling. Unwanted cards can sometimes be destroyed in the shop.
Jester is deceptively upbeat and bright, always smiling and making jokes. However, they’re also extremely cynical. Hope and despair seem to duke it out in their head quite often- with despair winning most matches. They're quite determined and throw themself whole heartedly into whatever they set their mind to.
Their standard starting equipment are 4 Boop cards, 3 Bop cards, and 2 Sweets cards.
Jester’s limit break and special ability remain the same for episodes 1 and 4-6.
Their limit break, Snap, allows them to use matching cards in their hand for free, dealing the max damage/effect possible.
Their special ability is their setup of a rotating deck instead of a static hand of cards. They can also get rid of matching pairs in hand when Snap is not activated, using the Discard button, and can see the next three cards in their deck.

Jester uses specific cards found in booster packs. All their cards are automatically two slots tall, and while they have bits of overlap with the others, they mostly stick to their own cards.
The following are cards only Jester can use:
